[chroot-x86_64] root:/$ /tools_i486/bin/xz --version
bash: /tools_i486/bin/xz: No such file or directory

And then running

[chroot-x86_64] root:/$ ls /tools_i486/bin

definitely shows the file xz. What's more is that browsing to it via file 
manager shows it, it's executable by everyone and it's 178.9KB in size.
