The reason liblzma.so.5 is not listed there should that there is no liblzma
under chroot /lib and /usr/lib (until we add xz compilation on base build).
That then give
[chroot-i486] root:/$ ldd /usr/bin/xz
        linux-gate.so.1 =>  (0x00a55000)
        liblzma.so.5 => /usr/lib/liblzma.so.5 (0x00ec2000)
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00930000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00a62000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00175000)

Could David send me directly (because of mailing list size limit) his xz log
(pass 1 & 2)
Which distrib is the 64-bits host?

Mine is the same from 32-bits host and this is logical as x86_64 open a
linux32 shell.
