Hi Gilles,

Is this the issue that causes boot errors when the / partition is larger 
than 512 megs?
If I set this to 10240 (roughly 10 gigs), since about early march or so, 
I get a boot error after install. If the partition size is 512 megs, it 
works fine. I have been using the value ROOT_MAXIMUM 10240 in 
/src/installer/arch_defs.h for the better part of a year now.

Any info relating to this would be greatly appreciated.
