I just tried the modeswitch changes you committed today and it works! I made an update by adding to the rootfiles in the update itself since that hasn't been updated yet and installed it, disconnected my internet connection (cellular), unplugged the usb modem, plugged it back in, went to System Information and my jaw dropped and I had to take a double take to make sure I was really seeing the post modeswitch product ID. This is the first time I have ever seen it work in 1.9.x. I may put together a list of good modem dial strings for the various devices out there as I have always made my own by deciphering the windows driver inf files. BTW this modem that your changes worked with is a rather new model so that's saying something about how up to date this is. -- Dave Studeman http://www.raqcop.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BlackBerry® DevCon Americas, Oct. 18-20, San Francisco, CA Learn about the latest advances in developing for the BlackBerry® mobile platform with sessions, labs & more.
