I see that Olaf has recently changed the text in SVN to refer to the
online Installation Manual instead.

The Installation Manual is a 'work in progress', and needs a lot more
work. In particular, new screenshots are needed of the new network
install, and the alternative methods of installation need
documentation. I left these for other as I know little about them.
