I looked at that, and after a brief look at the files in IPCop, I edited the file: /etc/rc.d/rc.dnsmasq. I changed line 14 from: [ "$DOMAINNAME" ] && LOCALDOMAIN="-s $DOMAINNAME --local=/$DOMAINNAME/" To: [ "$DOMAINNAME" ] && LOCALDOMAIN="-s $DOMAINNAME" And it seems to work as with v1.4.21. DNS servers in ORANGE have an "A" record for www.mydomain.com and pc's in GREEN now resolve that OK. DNS server does not have an "A" record for www-test.mydomain.com, thus that does not resolve, until I add a hostname record via IPCop Web GUI. Is there any downside to this? Should I be editing a different file, or is there a better way to do it? PC's in GREEN have fixed IPs and DNS/GATEWAYS set to IPCop's GREEN IP address. I have not tried it with PC's that use DHCP - any potential issues there? John P.S. The way I work it, the DNS servers are for public IP addresses.
