I'm loading v2 on a new fit-PC2i Value with a 4GB SSD to replace my old P3 running 1.4. So far, everything has loaded up wonderfully. I loaded using a USB stick as my bootable drive for the ipcop-2.0.2-install-usb-fdd.i486.img version of the install. When doing so, I noticed that the manual is lacking on how to actually make the bootable usb with the ISO burned to it. See http://www.ipcop.org/2.0.0/en/install/html/preparation-creating-usb.html The instructions you need to include are available at http://www.nicholasoverstreet.com/2009/05/install-ipcop-from-usb-drive/ The only change I needed to make was that I was to use the v2 iso rather than the 1.4 iso that is shown in the directions. It would be great if the official documentation could get updated. The note regarding some USB drives not working is correct. The first one I tried would not get recognized as a bootable drive, but the second one worked great. Thanks to all who work hard on IPCOP! I've been using it since the SM days in several locations... -Sam ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keep Your Developer Skills Current with LearnDevNow!
