Re: IPcop 2.0 on Proliant servers/RAID controllers

Daniel,

Finally went ahead and upgraded from 1.4.21.  I used the changes I made to
the installer and put it on a DL360 G5, two 146gb drives mirrored, P400i
raid controller.  So far, only thing I found not working right is the log
display.  If the page is filled and I click "Newer", I get a blank page.  I
know the data is still there since if I use the ignore filter, I see some of
the entries that would be on the next page.  Don't remember seeing anything
about it not working so going to install from official ISO in a virtual
server and see if problem still happens.

Hooray for non-deterministic behaviour ;) I cannot recall, does the
installer use udev, i.e. might it be a bug in udev hotplug?

Are you using iLO's Java/browser-based virtual media tool? We've often
found it a little flaky - you might (though I make no guarantees) have
better luck using the http method: put the .iso image on a web server,
ssh to iLO and run
    vm cdrom insert http://1.2.3.4/dir/ipcop-2.0-test.iso

 I'll test the "eject" in the standard installer with http-based virtual
media when I get a minute.
