Did you do a ./make.sh prefetch before you started? This will at least 
tell you if you have all the packages in cache to build IPCop in the 
first place much less the toolchain. It would appear that this  is not a 
prerequisite failure but rather it is a missing source failure. If the 
lfs script is not able to download it, simply google gmp-5.0.5 and 
download it manually to your cache folder.

Other than that, doing a ./make.sh gettoolchain will save you some time 
since they are available pre-compiled from IPCop.
