Since Cobalts look for a bzipped or gzipped kernel image that MUST contain
the ide drivers and ext3 filesystem embedded and does not use a bootloader
nor initramfs, I use a somewhat gutted partition.c file that simply does not
have the initrd section or Sparc, PPC etc. It would appear that the
partitioning portion of a system install has depmod run as part of the
initrd subsection which I do not have. This leaves a freshly installed
Raqcop system with a non up to date modules.dep and other files.

What would be the best way to incorporate it outside of the no longer
existant initrd section on Raqcop's partition.c code?
