Hi,

  DHCP has two options: Dynamic address (and yes, just use the same
address for start and end to achive a single dynamic address) and also
fixed or static addressing through which you can assign a fixed address to
a given MAC address such that a given machine will always get the same
address... and you can have a combination of these two if you want... Just
make sure your dynamic range does not overlap any of your static
addresses....
