I've had good experiences with Netgear 100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps consumer
Fast Ethernet and Gigabit switches -- nothing to mess with; just plug
them in and they work.
My experiences with Netgear firewalls and WiFi access points has been
mixed -- limited features, bugs/ crashes/ lockouts, slow firmware
updates, and the technical support forum seems to be one guy without
access to Netgear engineering.
My most recent purchase -- a pair of FVS-318G ProSafe 8-port Gigabit VPN
Firewalls -- has been a failure:
1. Hardware overheats and locks up.
2. List of available Dynamic DNS providers is fixed. (I ended up suing
Dyn to get my money back.)
3. Firmware and technical support as above.
Thus, I'm back to IPCop.

That product looks kinda sorta familiar.
It does not appear to be distributed in the USA:

The ALIX series might be an option:
