on startup version 2.1.8 getting error message on server boot up starting interface red ... rnetlink answers no such process ?

I am a newbie so please excuse my lack of proper nomenclature. :-) upon my first build I noticed this message coming up and also in the system logs I see numerous "error can't start red when its still active ". I am connecting red interface directly to lan port on my isp provided router and isp router is assigning it address via dhcp. I reserved this address on isp provided router to this interface on ipcop server so it is now "static" I then configured red interface on ipcop for static use. When I ping interface addresses from root account on ipcop server I get return from red,blue and green interfaces no problem. However pc's connected to blue or green interfaces via dumb switches will not connect to internet even though they can ping blue and green interface ip addresses on ipcop server respectively. I have manually configured pc's to be on their respective networks hence they ping the blue or green interface cards successfully on ipcop server. My ipcop server is configured as such red 192.168.1.70 - static green 192.168.1.2 255 255 255 0 blue 192.168.2.100 255 255 255 0 for dns I am using the ip addresses supplied by my isp same goes for the default gateway setting.
