Hello Spyros, That is very strange. I have just tried what I think you are attempting do on my IPCop v2.1.9 here: I defined a service for TCP on port 33443 and then created a port forwarding rule to accept connections for that service on one of my Red network aliases and then forward to a server in my Green network that is listening on port 443... And it worked immediately :) >Oh well. >With v1.4.x it was pretty straight forward. >Nowadays , I can't get anything to work with v2.x It might be worth trying with a fresh install of IPCop as there does seem to be something very strange happening with your current setup. No worries. I am taking it offline in a couple of days and will install a mikrotik router. I find RouterBoard devices very useful for the networking tasks that IPCop can't handle. But the learning curve is very much steeper :) Thank you very much for your kind reply. My pleasure. I should also mention that Steffen Pöllot has very kindly emailed me to point out that a point in my earlier post was incorrect: In contrast to the way that (as far as I can remember) IPCop v1.x used to work, version 2.x does in fact allow "tromboning". So it is possible to test port forwards from a green-side client - one simply uses the relevant Red address and it all just works. So I have learnt something new too - many thanks Steffen!
