pxeboot CF burning issues

I have been working on burning a new CF card after the previous one 
fitted to an ALIX SBC failed.

I started using Windoze based tools to set up a pxeboot but that failed 
when during the boot, the file ldlinux.c32 could not be found.  After 
some research I thought this might be caused by a known bug.

I have switched to Debian based tools starting with dnsmasq.  This has 
been setup with dns disabled, and dchp + tftp enabled.  I have the root 
directories /srv/tftp/ and /srv/http/.  These contain the unpacked 
netboot files and iso files respectively. That setup worked until the 
file ldlinux.c32 could not be found.
The log showed that dnsmasq made a search of the following directories:

/srv/tftp
                 /boot/isolinux/
                 /boot/syslinux/
                 /syslinux/
                 /isolinux/

A search of the iso files found ldlinux.c32 in the directory 
/srv/ihttp/boot/isolinux.

At present the high level directory tree looks like this:

/srv/http
                 /boot/
                 /doc/
                 /dosutils/
                 /images/
                 COPYING
                 README. txt

/srv/tftp
                 /ipcop/
                 /pxelinux.cfg.bak/         # renamed to avoid clash 
with pxelinux.cfg filename
                 pxelinux.0
                 pxelinux.cfg

I have not yet configured a web server.  I have installed lighttpd but 
it isn't yet configured.
I changed the dir name from /pxelinux.cfg/ to /pxelinux.cfg.bak/ because 
it clashed with the copied file renamed pxelinux.cfg file.

It appears that I need to mv all the files/dirs in the http dir over to 
the tftp dir.  This should then allow the ALIX to fnd the ldlinux.c32 
file.  This is not how I remember doing it a couple of years ago.
Installation on CF card is no longer covered in the IPCop manual and 
very little is mentioned on the internet.  I haven't yet reached the 
point in the installation process where I am prompted for the location 
of the iso root dir (/srv/http).

I think my current problem is due to incorrect directory tree 
structure.  I am seeking advice on the correct high level directory tree 
structure and file locations.
What should the high level dir tree look like?
