Just wanted to throw this out there as an idea for a new feature. I guess probably its not a good idea for security reasons and would bring IPcop out of its comfort zone as a pure firewall. Reason I am looking at PXE is I always wondered how it works for a long time and just started trying it out. I have an older Pentium3 32 bit machine laying around doing nothing, and I downloaded Debian8 to try on it, but I believe the dl is corrupted as the cd rom gives errors and even with a new cdrom drive, it still wont complete the software part of the install, so I thought I would try the pxe boot thing with it. I'm using Windows vista right now, and I tried serva64 app, and it seemed to find the boot image and try to load it but it hangs. Still not sure if I am setting it up right or I guess I have to choke it up and admit the i386 dl of Debian is corrupt. I know this is sorta OT but would anyone know a link to a good i386 dl of Debian8? Also was curious if anyone has messed around w/ pxe on a Linux system, and what are the best ones to run ? == Steve ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ IPCop-user mailing list [email protected] Manage your subscription or unsubscribe https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ipcop-user
