Position: Sr. Product Manager
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

We are currently looking for a Technical Product Manager for our Firewall Security division. For this role, we seek a highly collaborative, persuasive and passionate professional with a history of demonstrated leadership in technical content development and demonstrations. In addition, we are looking for someone with the ability to communicate effectively using PowerPoint to articulate features and roadmap plans in a compelling and clear way. This individual must demonstrate proven ability to work very closely with both development and sales organizations.
This is a new position which means responsibilities are still being evaluated and defined.
Known responsibilities for Technical Product Manager include, but are not be limited to:
Take the leading role in specific product management tasks and projects assigned to this position and when required work with product team members to see them to conclusion.
Perform feature investigations as part of product planning and develop supporting materials that describe high level concepts of use and business value of new features/concepts.
Communicate the product roadmap for Network Gateway security products through Webex and in person sessions with end users and channel partners as called upon and as required to support the sales organization.
Act as strategic “listener” for industry, end user, VAR, and MSP/SI needs as inputs to product strategic positioning and product development and assure that any needs are evaluated and documented.
Collaborate directly on the Product Management team with Product Development as part of quarterly product reviews and the roadmap decision making process.
Create and deliver technical presentations that communicate the value proposition, usage scenario, and competitive advantages of new features as they are developed and perform through internal and external Webex sessions for technical sales and channel audiences.
Continuously monitor technical product presentations for improvements and collect feedback on effectiveness through in-person meetings and concalls/webexs with customers/partners/prospects.
Liaise with sales leadership in strategic account development and support for strategic/large opportunities.
Work closely with Product Marketing on specific campaigns and project to support technical aspects of strategic marketing , market awareness, and lead generation.
Monitor features accounts for issues and feedback from customers and assure that responses are provided.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Information Technology, similar field or equivalent.
At least 3-5 years experience within hardware and/or software industry.
Experience with Firewalls or security gateway technologies (hands on preferred).
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, customer-focused, and one that can work well with others within the marketing and engineering organizations as well as interdepartmentally, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to technically use the product in a live environments and webex demonstrations.
An understanding of IT security and network infrastructures and experience with information security technologies including anti-virus, firewalls, etc.
Ability to refine complex problems down to clearly defined issues and recommendations as well as ability to draw objective conclusions that can be substantiated with well reasoned arguments- particularly when supporting data is sparse.
Skilled with MS Office applications, public speaking, and project management.
This position will require travel on a periodic basis within the United States and on occasion may involve a trip abroad.
