•	Our client, the world’s leading provider of DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) mitigation services seeks a seasoned Director of Security Operations to lead a 24/7 team of attack mitigation professionals in their Security Operations Center in South Florida. 

•	This role reports to the “C” level and offers an opportunity to help continue the growth of the world’s best DDoS mitigation capability. 

•	As the Director of this operation, you will establish innovative programs to maximize the effectiveness of security teams and their use of our client’s many layers of in-house engineered hardware, software and network equipment. You’ll have a hand in building world-class capability in monitoring emerging threats and handling these threats consistently across a global network while enforcing each customer’s security policy. 

•	You will provide leadership, performance measurement capabilities and staff training to existing SOC staff. Through an effective leadership style, you’ll bring a positive can-do mindset to this group. You’ll create a team mindset and will be highly successful at getting people to work together towards common goals that includes ensuring 100% SLA is met. This staff does in-depth troubleshooting, dives deeply into DDoS attack and mitigation projects, comes up with creative solutions to constantly changing attack vectors and works closely with customers. 

•	As the Director of this SOC, you will be challenged to communicate vision, to lead, to hold people accountable, to drive expectations, to put policies and systems in place to measure and track results and to build performance incentive programs, etc. There will be occasional international travel to visit this company’s newly established Network Operations Center (NOC) in Asia. However, the focal point of this role is that of providing leadership to a Security Operations Center (SOC) team in South Florida. This role impacts the largest group of professionals in the company and is one of the more significant customer-facing roles in the organization.



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
•	A BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is highly desired. 
•	Any of the following Certifications are a plus: ITIL Manager, CISSP, CISA, SANS GIAC, CNP, CCSP, CCIE, NSA IAM. 
•	Requires a minimum of 10 years experience in a technical / networking environment.
•	 Requires a minimum of 4 years NOC / SOC management experience (a plus if in the Carrier IP Backbone environment). 
•	Must demonstrate a record of success in leading teams working with multiple Firewalls, IDS Network Traffic Analysis, Attack Mitigation and related Internet technologies. 
•	Must demonstrate a proven ability to lead and motivate people, set targets and monitor achievements in delivering quality security services. 
•	Must demonstrate familiarity with routing and switching and attack mitigation technologies, familiarity with Internet Protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.) and experience with network management tools and concepts. 
•	Experience with DDoS mitigation is greatly appreciated. This role is highly customer focused. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a prior successful track record of creating positive customer satisfaction.
