Information Security Research Engineer (Application Security)

The position is responsible for leading the design of a process and leading the efforts to validate technical security requirements on various technologies throughout the enterprise; Assisting in the verification of remediation efforts related to technical security issues on various technologies throughout the enterprise; and Assisting in the development of requirements for a tool to manage workflow of remediation verification efforts and track technical security issues


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and 5 years IT security experience OR 7 years IT security experience; 2) Experience performing security gap analysis, network risk assessments, penetration testing, application assessments, various platform security configuration reviews, policy and procedure reviews, and remediation testing in large enterprise environments; 3) Experience documenting findings and presenting results to technical and non-technical management teams; 4) Experience as a team lead planning, executing, and reporting project results and providing guidance to team members; 5) Experience with server, firewall and router configuration reviews, web application security reviews, network security and security architecture; 6) In-depth understanding of auditing verification and validation methods.

Preferred Job Requirements:
1) CISSP or other relevant Information Security Certification. 2) Experience with business governance and security control frameworks; 3) Experience with HIPAA’s impact on security requirements. 4) Experience in a managed health care or other insurance or financial services organization.
