We are looking for a Performance Test Lead who will be responsible for conducting performance testing and network configuration. 
You will be responsible for developing and automating a variety of performance tests. 
You will work closely with existing development teams to identify, diagnose, report on and resolve performance problems.  And you must be comfortable working with hardware, i.e. racking equipment, installing and/or reconfiguring system components.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

The chosen candidate must have strong UNIX, network background and experience with performance testing, preferably. 
Spirent or Ixia test gear. 
They will need to understand networking from a practical, e.g. configuring a cisco switch, configuring a network and a theoretical, e.g. understanding tcp/ip, perspective.
At least 3 years experience with performance testing/network configuration and setup 
Experience using Spirent Smartbits test hardware and software 
Experience using Spirent Avalanche and Reflector test hardware and software 
Experience setting up and configuring networks and network hardware (cisco switches, linux hosts, etc...) 
Programming ability (preferably tcl for use with Spirent performance testing software, and perl). 
Experience using Linux/UNIX command line tools/shell scripting 
Comfortable working with hardware (Racking equipment, installing and/or reconfiguring hard drives, processors, memory, and network cards) 
Strong troubleshooting skills 
Strong communication/documentation skills. 
Desirable experience- 

Experience optimizing systems for performance (BIOS settings, kernel changes, etc...)
