Critical Infrastructure Protection Specialist (385)
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Interim Secret clearance is required.
The candidate will support efforts to reduce cyber threats and vulnerabilities as part of a Critical Infrastructure Protection initiative. Working with interagency, interdepartmental, and Transportation and Postal and Shipping Sectors, the candidate will work to develop strategies and methods to provide cyber analysis and warnings, enhance analytical capabilities, and develop each sectors indications and warnings architecture to identify precursors to attacks. The candidate will provide input to various projects as a Subject Matter Expert in fields of Cyber Security, FISMA, Certification and Accreditation parameters, and other private and public sector security standards. Additionally, the candidate will provide operational support to TSA cyber security initiatives during all phases of deployment. The candidate will:
• Develop documentation for all cyber related aspects of the Transportation Sector Plans
• Work with Government and Sector Coordinating Councils to produce and disseminate Transportation and Postal Sector Plans and Strategies
• Set security goals and develop cross-sector coordination mechanisms to identify key interdependencies, share operational concerns, and develop protective protocols between sector partners
• Provide support to Preparedness planning initiatives
• Develop and lead initiatives in the Critical Infrastructure Protection Advisory Council (CIPAC) Working Group
• Work with the Office of Infrastructure Protection to establish and understand cyber asset dependencies
• Work to develop strategies and methods to provide cyber analysis and warnings, enhance analytical capabilities, and develop each sector's indications and warnings architecture to identify precursors to attacks.
• Assist TSA in communicating advisory levels and provide guidance regarding the implementation of cyber security measures
• Lead efforts by public and private sectors to conduct sector specific cyber threat assessments
The candidate will be expected to perform research and analysis reports on sector specific cyber threats and critical infrastructure protection components. They will also develop white papers on specific topics within the cyber security arena.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must have in depth technical experience with federal information technology infrastructures including strategic and policy level experience. The candidate should have knowledge of the National Infrastructure Protection Plans (NIPP) and Sector Specific Plans for critical infrastructure protection. Experience in the Transportation , Postal/Shipping sector is useful. Experience with enterprise risk management frameworks (ITIL, Cobit, COSO, etc.) and/or Systems Based Risk Management (SBRM) is also useful. The candidate should have experience with DHS MD 4300.A and/or FISMA compliance requirements. Experience with DHS C&A processes (NIST) is a plus. Currently the location of this position is in Pentagon City, VA but there is a possibility the position will move to Springfield, VA.
BS degree is required; advanced degree is preferred. CISSP or similar certiciation is required.
