Position: Security Researcher
Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-08-15
Position prepares specifications and programs of a highly technical or complex nature. Candidate requires advanced technical knowledge in all areas of applications programming, system design, and kernel operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research, fuzz and reverse engineer applications for software exploits
• Procure software exploits from global community
• Maintain current knowledge of new technologies, systems, and tools
• Document solutions/designs in a clear, concise manner
• Customer interface
• Some local travel required
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Must have completed a government background investigation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Exploit development experience a must
• Vulnerability and penetration testing experience preferred
• User-mode and kernel-mode software development
• Knowledge and experience programming in C/C++
• Knowledge of scripting languages, Perl, Python, etc.
• Experience with multiple operating systems: Windows, Linux, BSD,*nix
• Familiarity with operating system internals, especially network stacks
• Experience designing and writing network applications
• General knowledge of information security, malware, system and network security administration
