Position: Developer
Location: Chantilly, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2008-08-15
This role requires someone with experience developing data marts with an Oracle Backend. In addition to developing the ETL process, the candidate will be responsible for building data models and SQL queries in Oracle that yield high performance. The candidate must be able to identify and correct performance issues. The ability to tune SQL statements is a must!! In addition, the candidate must be comfortable performance tuning the data model. The candidate should be comfortable working with the DBA team to find and correct any performance issues stemming from the database’s configuration. They must be comfortable using the following tools to build ETL: SQL LOADER, Perl, and PL/SQL.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years experience with PL/SQL.
• Experience with data modeling methodologies beyond relational modeling.
• 5 years SQL skills. Must be able to write and tune SQL statements.
• 5 years experience working with Oracle.
• 3 years ETL experience using languages such as PL/SQL, SQL and Perl as opposed to commercial ETL tools.
• Experience with Oracle partitioning and hints.
• 3 year Perl experience.
• Must have completed a government background investigation
