Position: Security Engineer
Location: Plano, Texas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Information Security Specialist to join our team in Plano, Texas.
Job Responsibilities :
The Information Security Specialist is a member of a team who proactively manages IT security on behalf of customers to reduce the impact of security incidents and system compromises. Candidate provides security monitoring, event analysis, and countermeasure proposals. This position requires shift work in a 24/7/365 environment.
Including but are not limited to the following:
Detect security issues, create customer tickets and manage problems until closure;
Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution of issues;
Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met;
Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation;
Provide resolution plans for system and network issues;
Report common and repeat problems (trend analysis) to Management and propose process and technical improvements.
Required Skills:
Must have demonstrated 3 – 5 years continuous support and expertise of the following:
UNIX/Linux, Windows operating systems
Internet connectivity and protocols (TCP/IP)
Enterprise Security Information Management systems
Networking knowledge and experience
Application/Log/Network/System Intrusion Detection and/or Prevention Systems
TCP/IP networking, VPNs, VLAN, NAT and security concepts
Firewall and screening systems
Security threat and attack countermeasures
Ability to conduct in-depth forensic analytical studies and investigations
Desired Skills:
Investigative and Analytical problem solving skills
Efficient communications skills (listen, write, oral)
Effective time management and organizational skills
Strong troubleshooting, reasoning and problem solving skills
Team player with the ability to work autonomously
Passion for the job and desire to learn
Minimum Educational Requirements:
BS in Computer Information Systems desirable.
Associates degree required
CISSP
CCSP/CCNP
CEH
