Tax term: Full Time Pay rate: D.O.E. Length: Full time Job description: You will work with our existing brilliant team of engineers implementing the latest security solutions from Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Websense, RSA and others. This position also includes some pre-sales and technical support activities. Job Responsibilities Provide knowledge in security solutions to a wide variety of network and security projects for customers around the Bay Area. Implement solutions for to meet security requirements such as deploying a firewall or upgrading a firewall. Develop specific configurations for firewalls, IPS, VPN, DLP and other security devices. Contribute to project plans, author engineering documentation, and develop detailed implementation plans. Present solutions, results and reports to customers. Execute projects on schedule and ensure high customer satisfaction. Be willing to continually learn new technologies and achieve technical certifications as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors of Science Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, CS or equivalent. 2 years of technical experience implementing and supporting security solutions. Strong experience in Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). Experience with one or more of the following products: Cisco - PIX/ASA, IPS, MARS, NAC, CSM, CSA, ACS, Ironport, WAAS and WAF Juniper/Netscreen – Firewall, SSL VPN, IDP Trend – Anti Virus Websense – URL Filtering, DLP Voltage – Email Encryption RSA – SecurID, EnVision Qualys – Vulnerability Assessment Working knowledge of a wide variety of network related protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, NetBIOS, IPSec and SSL. Strong ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN networks. Basic routing and switching knowledge, understanding of subnetting, VSLM and STP. Ability to complete small projects individually or complete tasks assigned by a Senior Engineer on a large project. Experience Implementing firewalls, VPN and IPS. Solid understanding of network services provided by Unix/Linux and Windows Server. Experience with the following applications/tools: Microsoft Office, Visio, Wireshark, Nessus and Nmap. Ability to relocate and install network equipment. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Must also be able to work occasional weekends and on after-hours projects. Certifications such as Cisco CCDA, CCSP, CCNP, JNCIA, Check Point CCSA, CCSE, Microsoft MCSE, GIAC and CISSP are desirable.
