--------------------------------------------------- SECURITYFOCUS JOBS - NEW OPPORTUNITY --------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------- Position: Manager, Information Security Location: White Plains, New York, United States Type: Permanent F/T Closing Date: 2008-08-12 The Nokia Corporate IT Security team provides security services to globally protect Nokia from IT threats and risks. If you want to help us deliver Corporate IT Security Services that enable Nokia to make informed risk-based decisions to meet Nokia’s business objectives, read on. As a Corporate IT Security Manager based in one of our US offices in Dallas, TX or White Plains, NY, you will support and develop internal technology oriented IT security services such as Security Monitoring, Vulnerability Analysis, Governance Risk and Compliance Technologies, Log Management, Web Application Security Technologies (prevention and detection) and Configuration Compliance. Defining and ensuring the strategic technical direction of the Corporate IT Security service architecture, owning technical solutions, guiding development projects and ensuring service quality as well as internal customer satisfaction are key components of this position. You will also manage the ongoing lifecycle of deployed technologies in addition to designing and creating requirements for new Corporate IT Security Services. This will be accomplished by interfacing with internal Nokia IT and Services & Software personnel to ensure that their requirements are being met and to gather new requirements for the Nokia Corporate IT Security roadmap that meet both short- and long-term business goals. Therefore, you should have good communication skills as well as a strong desire to work with people in global team environment. In order to ensure the integrity and continuity of IT services, you will ensure that new applications conform to the overall IT security architecture and are compatible with Nokia’s IT security policies and guidelines. Finally, you will help facilitate decision-making on optimal sourcing related to service development, and you will be responsible for the technical component of key vendor relationship management. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- A recognized IT security expert, you have a degree in a technology subject such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications. Alternatively, you may have developed the equivalent skills through experience. You have seven or more years of ICT and IT security experience which have equipped you with an extensive knowledge of the industry and the associated technologies. In addition to this, you have a thorough understanding of global enterprise IT environments and working in global teams. The ability to see the “big picture” and ensuring the overall integrity and strategic technical direction of the Corporate IT Security service architecture is a critical success factor for this position. Additionally, while no direct application development is required for this position, you must be able to understand basic-to-moderate concepts of application development. Furthermore, you must also be able to write technical specifications (e.g. process flows, how components of an application change throughout a process flow, and executive summaries of a functional specification document) for application development purposes and feel comfortable communicating with developers. This is required for the development of new applications as well as incorporating Application Security Services into a development lifecycle. As a natural people manager, you can coach and lead technical specialists in a global, virtual environment. With a proven track record in driving projects to successful completion, you have the ability to persuade others to support your decisions. Your background in vendor management enables you to build and maintain win-win relationships.
