--------------------------------------------------- SECURITYFOCUS JOBS - NEW OPPORTUNITY --------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------- Position: Certification & Accreditation Engineer Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States Type: Permanent F/T Closing Date: 2008-10-06 Jr. Certification and Accreditation Engineer (404) Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top Secret clearance is required and have been granted SCI eligibility. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading vulnerability assessments against emerging technology in a fast paced, high visibility environment. Our engineers work as a team to identify potential risks to critical information through assessments of operating systems, web applications, networking devices and other technology. This position will allow a successful candidate to advance their professional skills through company-sponsored training with organizations such as the SANS Institute while also demonstrating leadership/advancement potential through limited mentorship of more junior engineers. An engineer in this position will perform as both an independent evaluator of technology and a trusted advisor; he or she will have a direct impact on the information security approach taken by the customer.
