--------------------------------------------------- SECURITYFOCUS JOBS - NEW OPPORTUNITY --------------------------------------------------- JOB DESCRIPTION --------------------------------------------------- Position: Sr. Security Analyst Location: Aurora, , United States Type: Permanent F/T Closing Date: 2008-10-18 Summary: maintains and administers enterprise security applications and services supporting business requirements. Responsibilities: Support Project Design and Implementation •Install and upgrade application software and tools. This may be in conjunction with a larger project team. •Assist in the designing, testing, development, and implementation of effective backup and restore techniques at application level. •Assist development team with physical design and application tuning. •Participate in technical design reviews and recommend solutions and improvements. •Documents new, or modifies existing procedures to maintain backup and recovery standards and transfer of knowledge. Monitor, tune, administer and maintain applications. • Design, develop and test programs for monitoring, tuning and maintaining applications. •Team with appropriate IT departments for system upgrades, enhancements and new software releases by using established methods in order to provide the most current level of application features. •Administer the application configuration and set-up. •Conducts studies and investigations pertaining to the maintaining or improvement upon service levels of systems. •Maintain the health of services and systems in a proactive manner. Production Support / other • Respond to production issues and problems both on a productive and reactive basis by appropriate methods in order to provide a high level of end user system access. •Share on-call duties for application support. •Other duties as assigned.
