Secure Computing is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer for the Chi=
cago, IL metro area.=0D

Responsibilities:=0D
=0D
Provide technical direction and support in the sales process. You will pr=
ovide demonstrations on all aspects of our products and assist the sales =
staff in assessing the potential customer's technical needs by responding=
 to RFPs and preparing detailed product specifications. =0D
Define and implement system requirements for complex customer systems. Yo=
u will determine systems specifications, input/output processes and worki=
ng parameters for hardware/software compatibility at the customer site. Y=
ou will also coordinate the design of subsystems and integration of the t=
otal system. =0D
Ensure that strategic design, integration, standards, installation, imple=
mentation, testing, performance analysis, debugging, documentation and on=
going support of the range of complex network components is completed dur=
ing an installation. =0D
=0D
This includes the network software, front-end processor, gateways to the =
mainframe/client server, bridges, hubs, routers, transmission medium, tra=
nsmission protocols, modems, linedrivers, transceivers, controllers, digi=
tal service units, deal-up and dial-out facilities, and the network inter=
faces for the LAN, WAN, SNA and customer data network. =0D
Provide consulting, technical guidance and support to customers after ins=
tallation as well as deliver technical training courses as needed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, network computing, in=
formation systems or related field/work experience. =0D
At least 5 years experience as a sales engineer, in a technical support p=
osition and/or increasing complex network support experience. =0D
Extensive technical knowledge of a variety of workstation operating syste=
ms and hardware platforms, including UNIX, multi-vendor, multi-platform w=
ide area networking, network connectivity, local area networking, demonst=
rated personnel management skills, and ability to prepare and present pro=
ject plans. =0D
An ability to travel as required within your assigned territory. =0D
