what libnet libraries to include when compiling source code?

hi

I just bought Building open source network security tools and skipped over it,but I couldn't find any explanation as to what libnet libraries to include when compiling source code.Same goes for libpcap.Can you also tell me if there are any man pages installed for libnet and where?

I hope someone can help me so I can start learning the darn thing:)
