Idle session logout

For years I've been using Idled (http://www.darkwing.com/idled/) to log
out users who remain idle on my linux servers.  Well, idled is no longer
supported, and hasn't had a release since 1996.  I've recently started
upgrading servers to RedHat ES 3.0, and idled no longer appears to
correctly log users out of the system.  It tells them that they've been
logged out, and removes their wtmp entry so that they no longer show up
in 'w'.  But, they remain logged in.

So, my question:
What are people using these days to log idle users out of their systems?
