Rainbow tables are pretty sweet :)

The shmoo guys give away free Lanman rainbow tables:

However, if you want to break other types of hashes, you'll either have to purchase some rainbow tables or create your own using a tool such as rainbowcrack:

Due to password salting though, this attack doesn't work on Linux passwords, just raw hashes.

john the ripper is a good tool for passwd cracking .
new methods of rainbow tables are great too .
