nessus -qp output

Hi, 
Is there a reason that nessus -qp does not try to backslash escape '|'
found in the plugin description/name/summary/other text fields.  If not,
is there interest in a patch to do this.  Specifically the plugin which
causes problems right now is 11618, "Remote host replies to SYN+FIN"
(specifically in the description field).  

Also has my patch for output bugtraq id's in 'nessus -qp' output been
misplaced or rejected?  I can resubmit if needed.
