hi Don,

What sort of router/gateway is at 10.0.0.1?

Since it replied and said that it owned that particular IP address
and other IP addresses, I would start there.

You could probably verify this was not Nessus by trying to ping
one of the dead IPs from the system running Nessus and doing a
similar trace.
