Running a detached scan

Can Nessus client 3.2.0 run a detached scan like Nessus WX can? I can't find an option for this anywhere and it seems that the client needs to remain open while the scan is running. Also, is there any way, after launching the client, of opening a previously saved .nessus profile without it then opening a new window?
