Hi,there
i have  a problem with nessus.when i try to launch a scan in my linux
command line.I always got the error as follows :

[root@localhost ~]# /opt/NetScan/bin/nessus -qVx localhost 16371 mao 123
/opt/NetScan/target /opt/NetScan/result.xml

[3829] SSL_connect: error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)

nessus : SSL error



and i have checked my log information:

vi var/nessus/logs/nessusd.messages

it tells:

[Mon Aug  4 10:04:54 2008][3827] nessusd 2.2.10. started

[Mon Aug  4 10:05:03 2008][3827] connection from 127.0.0.1

[Mon Aug  4 10:05:03 2008][3830] SIGSEGV occured !



i have installed nessus in /opt/NetScan and i am sure i have my nessusd
working correctly:

[root@localhost ~]# /opt/NetScan/sbin/nessusd -D

All plugins loaded



[root@localhost NetScan]# /opt/NetScan/sbin/nessusd -d

This is Nessus 2.2.10 for Linux 2.6.18-53.el5xen

compiled with gcc version 4.1.2 20070626 (Red Hat 4.1.2-14)

Current setup :

        nasl                           : 2.2.10

        libnessus                      : 2.2.10

        SSL support                    : enabled

        SSL is used for client / server communication

        Running as euid                : 0



and i am sure that my nessusd is listenning on the 16371 port,for :

[root@localhost ~]# lsof -i

nessusd   3827   root    4u  IPv4  11423       TCP *:16371 (LISTEN)



now i am not sure where is the problem and how to solve it!

can anyone help?
