Hi, I've been asked to recommend a utility for checking the md5 checksums that are published with each release. Personally, I've used the 'md5sum' utility that comes with the cygwin toolchain (*), however, installing cygwin just for this is a bit of an overkill. Fortunately, you don't have to look very far - there's a SourceForge project that provides a Windows application for this specific purpose -MD5Summer: "The MD5summer is a GUI application for generating and verifying MD5 checksums of files. Entire directory structures can be summed recursively. Input and output files are compatible with those of the GNU md5sum application." https://sourceforge.net/projects/md5summer/ enjoy, Rony (*) Cygwin is a Linux-like environment for Windows. http://www.cygwin.com. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: eBay Great deals on office technology -- on eBay now!
