Sorry, I don't have any suggestions, and I confess I still use 
PasswordSafe. :)

If you look around you will find several alternative candidates which 
look promising in respect to encryption, even Java ones. But I have not 
evaluated any one of them.

Once I have settled some other work and find it worth to create another 
hatchling, I will take up my endeavours on the Java safe again. I'ld 
also be happy about support, for instance if some Java developer has a 
serious interest.
