Password Safe "Pro"

Hi,

today, I decided to follow an advertised link for "Password Safe Pro"
(www.passwordsafepro.com) that you get on SourceForge when browsing
Password Safe's project pages.

Not surprisingly, it is a tool that is very similar to Password Safe.
It comes complete with snake oil: "The Password Safe Pro uses 160-bit
high security level encryption so your passwords are safe from online
predators and hackers."

Other than that and a few screenshots, the Web site is very vague
about the software. You can download a demo version, which I did not
do.

Very probably, the software's name was chosen in ignorance of
Password Safe's existence. Still, it could be argued that it exploits
the popularity of Password Safe, and by name implies to be an "improved"
or "professional" version of the original Password Safe.

Question is, does anyone care? I presume that Counterpane did register
the "Password Safe" name as a trademark. Even if not, or if the trademark
was not continued, I'm sure that a lawyer could make a compelling argument
for them to change the name of their software.

Maybe they do not even deserve that kind of attention.
