I found a way around that.  When you launch the application, you can
select the first entry by pressing the down arrow.

I tried to send this e-mail to the list, but it was rejected with a "550
sender verify failed" error.  But I figured you at least would want to
know the workaround.

Has anyone asked for the following enhancement: on opening, put the
focus in
the main window (or even select the first entry)?
Right now, user has to take her hand of the keyboard, mess around with
the
mouse to click somewhere in the window of entries, and only then can she
start typing a letter to scroll to entries that begin with that letter.
