Hello,

I am sending this mail again to the "Focus Sun" list, because it
returned after one week pending without being accepted or rejected
and I feel that it actually fits the focus of this mailing list.

With this mail I'd like to announce a new release of my open source
Solaris security module named Papillon. Source and binary packages are
available at

   http://www.roqe.org/papillon

Version 0.5.1 of Papillon includes full Solaris OE 9 support and a new
Setuid Execution Protection, which monitors/restricts the execution of
processes from within setuid/setgid binaries. Additional features
include restricted /proc access, secured symlinks and pipes and several
protections that harden chroot environments.

A complete and rewritten documentation of Papillon and all integrated
features and protections is available at

    http://www.roqe.org/papillon/papillon.pdf

Due to the fact that Papillon is a non-commercial project and has been
developed in my free time, I would be pleased to receive any kind of
feedback including bug reports, criticism, ideas and even flames.

With best regards,
Konrad Rieck
