Lisa, this sounds similar to some apparently transient problems some of my
users are reporting.  Could you give me some more details on how you
diagnosed this? I haven't been able to rule out things like network issues.
If my problem overlaps yours, we have a Sun service contract and would be
looking to them for a fix.

Unfortunately, you lose the benefits of BSM auditing, running supported
software on your production servers, (isn't there a Solaris/OpenSSH PAM
issue?), ...
