Never had a problem with IPFilter, we use it on many Solaris hosts on our
network. BUT if the system is busy, you should do the following:
1. manually modify the source code and increase the size of the state table.
2. Flush the state table daily.

Also,what version of IPFilter were you using, some were more/less stable
than others.
