I've recently noticed a quirky issue when using the ls command on my Solaris 8 server. In the / directory when I type ls it shows the folders. If I used ls -a I can see the files and folders there, but if I use ls -l it just hangs and shows nothing. I have to give it a ctrl+c to get back to my shell. I've run rootkit and done some other checking and get find no hints of foul play. Does anyone have any suggestions, or have experience with a problem like this? If you need more info just drop me a line.
