FYI, I compiled sophie (latest version) in redhat 8.0. The library path would be passed via --with-savilib, but I prefered to copy into de /usr/lib directory. Maybe the library you're looking for isn't there. Try getting CGPSophos plugin. It has the library with the advantage you don't need to have sophos antivirus complete suite installed.
