We switched to 3.78d on linux glibc2.2 (RedHat 8.0) and have
not had any problems yet. :)  It looks like Sohpos has corrected
the race / looping condition that was causing the denial of
service problems. It's simply ammazing what a little bit of bad
press can do. :)

3.78d has been the best release Sophos has had in quite a while!

I don't know if Sophos makes previous version available. We just move
forward and if something goes really wrong, we contact Sophos support
and don't hang up until they help. We have only had one incident where
we had no option, that was upgrading from 3.73 to 3.76. The .ide updates
had gone away for 3.73. 3.74 & 3.75 had extreme denial of service problems
and 3.76 was giving us the same problem. Sophos releases 3.76N NSV and
that had been pretty good.
