initgroups() failed

hello list,

i'm running postfix+rh9+sophie and of course virge3.04rc3
but am having initgroups() after dropping privs from user virge to 
sweep.
am running virge as "sweep user" though it managed to setgid to user 
sweep.

anyone had this problem also?
