Sophie and STDIN

Hi all,

As far as I understand about sophie, the "protocol" to
scan a file is to pass the filename of a physical file
to sophie. ( looking at sample_apps )

I need to scan a file provided by STDIN descriptor ( I
don´t want to copy the file to a physical archive and
then do the scan ). 

How can I do that ? Is there an intermidiate software
which can link or how should patch/change sophie to
work this way ?
