sophie not scanning

hi again.
I still am having problems with gettin sophie to scan from exim using 
the latest version of libsavi and sophie.

we cant update this because of the same problem... It just doesnt scan!!!!!

sophie runs as user exim.
Ive tried chown'ing sophie, the socket to exim but still nothing
Ive tried changing the user that sophie runs as in /etc/sophie.cfg to 
root, nothing.

but if i do a sample_app /tmp/sophie eicar.com

it detects it no bother.

Is there anything else I need to check becuase this is now getting serious.
