Re: Background info on sophie?

Dear Richard, Alain and others who have responded to my question,

many thanks for your answers and background information. I learned that, 
although sophie may not be very widely used, it is very stable and the 
API interface upon which it relies is not likely to change drastically.

You mean: have a Sophos daemon running which can scan (upon a trigger) a 
file and provide a status?
Do you also consider to combine this with an auto-update feature (or 
daemon) like e.g. ClamAV?
